Job summary

Bathers Beach House in Fremantle is seeking an experienced Sous Chef to join our kitchen family. You will lead the team, oversee operations in the Head Chef's absence, and contribute to seasonal menus and daily specials.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years’ experience in a similar role, ideally within a larger venue.
• Outstanding culinary skills with a strong understanding of food preparation techniques and presentation.
• Excellent time management, problem solving and multitasking abilities.
• Passion for fresh, seasonal and locally sourced ingredients.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills with a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

Bathers beach house has an amazing opportunity for an experienced and passionate Sous Chef to join our fantastic kitchen family.

Located right on the sands of Bathers Beach in Fremantle, we are a modern multi-storey venue catering to beachside dining through to weddings, functions and special events. We pride ourselves on delivering exceptional food, memorable experiences and a supportive team culture.

YOUR ROLE:

• Work closely with the Head Ched to lead, support and inspire our kitchen team
• Oversee kitchen operations in the absence of the Head Chef
• Contribute to seasonal menu changes, including a’ la carte, function menus and daily specials
• Mentor and train our kitchen staff, fostering a positive and collaborative team environment
• Maintain a strong knowledge of food safety, health and hygiene

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
