Job summary

Pathways Residences in Sydney is seeking a hands-on Sous Chef to lead daily cooking and uphold the highest standards across our aged-care kitchens. This role blends hands-on cooking with team leadership, requiring 1–2 years of kitchen management and a current food safety supervisor certificate.

You will direct catering staff, oversee food prep and hygiene, and work with Head Chefs and site executives to deliver restaurant-quality dining.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–2 years of kitchen management experience.
• Experience in aged care highly valued.
• Current food safety supervisor certificate required at time of application.
• Australian citizenship or permanent residency required.

Responsibilities

• Is hands-on and requires you to cook daily.
• Direct kitchen operations and manage catering staff.
• Oversee food preparation, cooking and cleaning.
• Ensure all food products are fresh and of high quality.
• Collaborate with Head Chefs, the Executive Chef and other department heads.
