Workers Hubertus located next to the new Western Sydney International Airport in Luddenham, is seeking an experienced and passionate Sous Chef to join our kitchen team and help deliver high-quality food across day-to-day operations and growing events.

This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on chef who enjoys creating great food, developing menus, leading a team and contributing to the growth of a busy hospitality operation.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Sous Chef in a commercial kitchen.
• Experience leading, supervising and training kitchen team members.
• Strong knowledge of kitchen operations, menu planning, recipe development and food presentation.
• Experience developing function and event menus, including menu costings.
• Understanding of food costs, portion control, stock management and waste reduction.
• Sound knowledge of food safety and WHS principles.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent time management and ability to stay organised under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook high-quality dishes according to menus and standards.
• Lead, supervise and train kitchen staff to maintain performance and teamwork.
• Develop function menus and costings to meet client budgets.
• Monitor food quality, yield and portion control across all dishes.
• Assist with stock management, ordering and waste reduction.
• Maintain cleanliness, hygiene and organisation in all prep and service areas.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, WHS and company policies.
• Collaborate with events team to deliver memorable dining experiences.
