AC Hotel by Marriott Gold Coast – Rivo Gold Coast in Surfers Paradise is seeking a passionate Sous Chef to support culinary leadership and help establish it as a premier dining destination.

Working closely with the Executive Chef, you will lead day-to-day kitchen operations, mentor junior chefs, contribute to menu development and ensure exceptional quality across all service periods, including poolside dining and events.

Formación

• Trade qualification in Commercial Cookery or equivalent recognised culinary qualification.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience within professional kitchen operations, preferably within hotels, premium dining venues or high-volume hospitality environments.
• Demonstrated experience in a leadership culinary role with ability to supervise teams and deliver exceptional food quality and service standards.

Responsabilidades

• Support the Executive Chef in delivering a culinary vision and lead the kitchen in their absence.
• Ensure exceptional food quality, consistency and presentation across all services.
• Assist with menu development and seasonal changes.
• Maintain kitchen organisation, mise en place and operational execution.
• Monitor food preparation and service to exceed guest expectations.
• Coach and develop junior chefs and kitchen staff.
• Lead by example with professionalism, passion and hands-on leadership.
• Support recruitment, onboarding and training initiatives.
