Job summary

HiFi Sandwiches Collingwood is a fast-paced takeaway sandwich shop on Smith Street seeking a kitchen leader to run daily service, prep, stock and costs while guiding a small crew. You will shape the menu with the wider YOLK Group culinary team and elevate sandwich quality.

You bring experience leading quick-service kitchens, a creative streak for specials, strong people skills and calm under pressure. A food safety certificate is ideal, or willingness to obtain one, with daytime hours and growth

• Previous experience leading a takeaway, deli, sandwich or quick-service kitchen.
• A creative streak: you love food and have ideas, but know the value of consistency.
• Solid people skills, and the ability to lead from the front and keep morale up.
• Organised, reliable, and calm when the queue's out the door.
• Food safety certificate (or willing to get one)

Job description

HiFi is a takeaway-only sandwich shop on Smith Street, from the team behind Terror Twilight. We do chef-made sangas, fries and house-made hot sauce and ferments, all served to a soundtrack of vinyl. The menu is tight and it's done properly. We're a proper inner-north sandwich institution, and we're looking for the person to take it into its next chapter. You'll run a fast-paced takeaway service and lead a small crew. You'll also have real creative input into specials, collabs and menu changes.
