Your resume and cover letter, tailored to exactly what they’re hiring for.
Feedwell, a Sydney-based corporate catering business, is hiring a hands-on Kitchen Hand with leadership potential to support a small kitchen team. You will prepare sandwiches, wraps and baguettes while learning our systems, then train others and help improve performance.
The role includes rostering support and taking on shift leadership when needed. The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of kitchen experience in a fast-paced setting, is well-organised, and takes pride in quality.
Sydney CBD | Full-Time, Permanent | Monday–Friday | 1:30am Starts
Maybe you're a Kitchen Hand, Catering Assistant, Sandwich Maker or Cook who's become the person your supervisor relies on.
You're organised, work well under pressure, and enjoy teaching new team members and helping others get better.
You may already supervise a small team, or perhaps you've never had a leadership title but naturally step up when needed.
We're looking for someone who's good at hands-on kitchen work and wants to develop their team leadership skills. We'll teach you how.
Feedwell is one of Sydney's fastest-growing corporate catering businesses, making thousands of fresh meals daily for workplaces like Google, Amazon, Canva and Louis Vuitton.
Our ambition is to become Australia's most loved workplace food provider.
We've grown from just 3 people to more than 150 in just over four years, growing around 30–40% annually, with plans to expand nationally.
And our people grow with us. Five of our current leaders started in junior roles, including Catering Assistant and Kitchen Hand. Today, they lead teams of 6–15 people.
You'll be making fresh sandwiches, wraps and baguettes while helping organise and support a small kitchen team.
We run a highly structured kitchen. Every product has clear recipes, step-by-step instructions, quality standards and expected preparation times.
First, you'll learn our systems and become great at them. Then you'll train others and help them improve.
As you develop, you'll take on more responsibility, including helping your supervisor with rostering and learning to run the shift when they're away.
This is a hands-on role where you work alongside your team, not just tell people what to do.
Make sandwiches, wraps and baguettes to our recipes and standards.
Follow our step-by-step systems and meet production times.
Help organise a small team so everyone works efficiently.
Train and support team members as you master our systems.
Check quality, presentation and production timings.
Prepare catering platters and food for the following day.
Learn rostering and assist the shift supervisor.
Gradually take responsibility for running shifts, including Mondays, when your supervisor is away.
We're looking for someone who:
Has at least 2 years' kitchen experience in a fast-paced environment.
Is naturally organised and good at keeping work on track.
Enjoys teaching, helping and supporting others.
Takes pride in quality and doing things properly.
Is reliable, punctual and someone others depend on.
Likes clear systems, structure and knowing what's expected.
Takes feedback well and wants to keep improving.
Previous supervisory experience isn't essential. What matters is that you've already shown you can organise, help others and take responsibility.
We know how important great team members are. When we find them, we look after them.
Permanent, full-time work with fixed Monday–Friday shifts.
No routine weekend work or last-minute roster changes.
Competitive pay, including applicable early-shift loadings.
A meal on every shift.
Your birthday off, paid.
Feedwell Grocery Box every fortnight to take home.
A calm, respectful kitchen. No yelling. No egos. No drama.
Professional systems, step-by-step training and regular feedback.
Real opportunities to develop your leadership skills and grow with the business.
Monday & Tuesday: 1:30am–10:00am
Wednesday–Friday: 1:30am–9:30am
Same schedule every week. You'll need to be comfortable with the 1:30am start and have reliable transport.
If you're good at kitchen work, naturally organised and enjoy helping others succeed, we'd love to hear from you.
