Job summary

Rick Shores on the Gold Coast is looking for a Sous Chef to act as an operational lead under the Head Chef. You’ll manage rostering, ordering and supplier relationships while upholding premium dining standards.

You’ll have opportunities to contribute to menu development and lead a high-volume brigade, with ongoing training and career progression within the Friends of Friends venues group.

Qualifications

• Experience as Sous Chef or in a similar leadership kitchen role.
• Ability to lead high-volume, premium dining service.
• Experience with rostering, ordering and supplier management.

Many of our Sous Chefs have gone onto Head Chef roles, some within our group and some outside. Our brigade is made up of many passionate people, all coming together for the shared reason of great food experience for each and every guest.

Operating across seven days, both services, our kitchen never sleeps and on any given service we will run a 15 plus brigade for service. Your role as Sous Chef will be to act as operational lead under the direction of the Head Chef and you will have accountability for tasks such as rostering, ordering, supplier relationships, training and more.

In your new role as Sous Chef have the opportunity to contribute to the menu and your exposure to leading high volume, fast paced premium dining venue's will stand you in good stead.
