Job summary

Eden Ritchie Recruitment is assisting a local government client on the Gold Coast to appoint a Sourcing Lead. The role focuses on strategic sourcing, end-to-end procurement, and tender delivery for high-value projects.

The successful candidate will mentor procurement professionals, collaborate with internal stakeholders and suppliers, and ensure governance compliance within the Chief Procurement Office.

Qualifications

• Degree in Business or equivalent qualification.
• Strong experience in complex procurement and sourcing.
• Ability to lead end-to-end tender and contract processes.
• Provide strategic procurement advice in budget-constrained environments.

Responsibilities

• Drive category planning and delivery of strategic sourcing initiatives.
• Lead complex end-to-end procurement and tender processes.
• Develop tender documentation and lead evaluations and negotiations.
• Provide expert procurement advisory services and category expertise.
• Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and suppliers.
• Conduct market research and analysis to inform sourcing strategies.
• Review procurement documentation and recommendations to ensure compliance.
• Support procurement planning and pipeline development.
• Lead, coach and mentor sourcing team members, fostering growth and collaboration.
• Maintain accurate procurement and contract records in SAP, Ready Contracts, Objective.

• Drive category planning and delivery of strategic sourcing initiatives
• Lead complex end-to-end procurement and tender processes
• Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders and suppliers
• 12 month role with possible extension
• Based on Gold Coast

Our local government client is seeking a Sourcing Lead to provide expert procurement advice and lead strategic sourcing activities across a range of complex and high-value procurement projects. You will manage end-to-end sourcing processes, support business units through the procurement lifecycle and mentor procurement professionals to deliver best practice outcomes.

Working within the Chief Procurement Office, you will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders and suppliers to ensure procurement activities align with corporate objectives, policies and governance requirements.
