Job summary

WorkPac Group is seeking a recycling sorter on a site in Queensland to sort recyclables on a conveyor line and support safe, efficient operations. You will work with teammates to ensure high-quality recycling outcomes and maintain organised, clean workspaces.

The role offers an immediate start, overtime with penalties, and potential opportunities on future projects within a strong safety culture onsite. Great pay rate and long-term stability are highlighted.

Qualifications

• Drivers Licence and reliable transport required.
• Experience in warehousing, manufacturing, waste, production or similar work.
• Experience with operating machinery or equipment is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Sort recyclable materials on a conveyor line to ensure quality recycling outcomes.
• Collaborate with team members to maintain safe and efficient operations.
• Keep work areas clean, organised and safe.
• Conduct waste audits and accurately record information for customers and local councils.
• Perform routine equipment inspections and basic safety checks.

• Support general site housekeeping and operational activities as required.

Job Details

• $38.43/hr + penalties
• Stable, long term work!
• Overtime paid at penalty rates!

Shift Structure

Monday to Friday | Starting at 7am and finishing around 3:30pm

What You Will Be Doing

In this role you will be working as a recycling sorter to help sort recycling materials, with your main duties being as followed:

• Sort recyclable materials on a conveyor line to ensure quality recycling outcomes.
• Work collaboratively with team members to maintain safe and efficient operations.
• Keep work areas clean, organised, and safe.
• Conduct waste audits and accurately record information for customers and local councils.
• Perform routine equipment inspections and basic safety checks.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety, efficiency, and environmental outcomes.

What You Will Need
