Job summary

WorkPac is seeking a Recycling Sorter in Queensland, Australia, starting on a Monday–Friday schedule from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm. You will sort recyclable materials on a conveyor line, work with the team to keep operations safe and efficient, and help record waste data for customers and councils.

Immediate start with penalties in pay for overtime. Ideal candidates have warehousing/manufacturing or waste industry experience, a valid drivers license and reliable transport, and are comfortable

Qualifications

• Experience in warehousing, manufacturing, waste, production or similar work.
• Drivers Licence and reliable transport.
• Experience with operating machinery or equipment is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Sort recyclable materials on a conveyor line to ensure quality recycling outcomes.
• Work collaboratively with team members to maintain safe and efficient operations.
• Keep work areas clean, organised, and safe.
• Conduct waste audits and accurately record information for customers and local councils.
• Perform routine equipment inspections and basic safety checks.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety, efficiency, and environmental outcomes.
• Support general site housekeeping and operational activities as required.
