Job summary

Metro South Health Service is seeking a registered radiographer who will expand their expertise toward a career in ultrasound. You will deliver high-quality radiography while undertaking postgraduate ultrasound training, gaining hands-on experience across a full scope of ultrasound examinations.

Supported by senior staff, you will develop clinical judgement and technical capability in a collaborative, patient-centred environment, with opportunities to contribute to education and service

Qualifications

• Hold a Queensland Licence to Use Irradiating Apparatus.
• Demonstrate a base level of ultrasound knowledge and exposure.
• Demonstrate high-quality, evidence-based radiography practice.
• Communicate effectively and work collaboratively within an interprofessional team.
• Demonstrate initiative and commitment to professional development.
• Develop or rapidly acquire skills in clinical education and service improvement.

Responsibilities

• Undertake radiography services while completing postgraduate ultrasound training.

About us:

The Division of Diagnostic Radiology provides a 24-hour clinical support service. The Department incorporates a complete Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) and Radiology Information System (RIS).

All general radiological services including mammography as well as advanced imaging services, including nuclear medicine and PET imaging, ultrasound, computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging, all major angiography, and vascular interventional procedures, including cardiac examinations, are provided.

The Division is an accredited centre that provides education and training for registrars, radiography graduates and students, nursing staff and medical students.
