Job summary

South Coast Radiology (SCR), part of the Integral Diagnostics (IDX) Group, seeks an experienced Sonographer to lead and oversee our Sonography team across the North Gold Coast as Regional Lead.

The role combines clinical leadership with people management, mentoring and driving service quality across the region.

Qualifications

• Current ASAR registration as a Medical Sonographer (essential).
• 3–5 years of clinical sonography experience.
• Experience mentoring or leading sonographers or trainees.
• Experience rostering and coordinating workflow (preferred).
• Collaborative leadership style with strong communication.
• Ability balance operational needs with patient care and team wellbeing.

Responsibilities

• Provide ongoing leadership, mentoring and feedback to Sonographers.
• Develop and manage rosters to align with patient demand and clinic workflow.
• Approve leave and timesheets and ensure adequate team coverage.
• Lead scan and process reviews and contribute to quality initiatives.
• Shape regional service standards and a positive workplace culture.

South Coast Radiology (SCR), part of the Integral Diagnostics (IDX) Group, is seeking an experienced Sonographer to lead and oversee our Sonography team across the North Gold Coast as Regional Lead.

About the Role

The Sonographer Regional Lead is a hybrid clinical and leadership role responsible for the day-to-day leadership of Sonographers within their designated region. The role combines operational management with a strong focus on team development, mentoring and building a positive, high-performing workplace culture.

Key responsibilities include:

• Providing ongoing leadership, mentoring and constructive feedback to Sonographers.
• Developing and managing Sonographer rosters to align with patient demand, referrer requirements and clinic workflow.
• Approving leave and timesheets, and ensuring adequate team coverage.
• Leading scan and process reviews, and contributing to protocol and quality improvement initiatives.

About You

You will bring:

• Current ASAR registration as a Medical Sonographer (essential).
• A minimum of 3-5 years' clinical Sonography experience
• Demonstrated experience supporting, mentoring or leading Sonographers or trainees.
• Experience in rostering and workflow coordination (preferred).
• A collaborative, approachable leadership style, underpinned by strong communication skills.
• The ability to balance operational requirements, patient care and team wellbeing.
