Job summary

Noosa Radiology on the Sunshine Coast is seeking a senior clinical lead for ultrasound. You will provide clinical and technical leadership across the sonography service, oversee equipment performance, and ensure procedural compliance while delivering patient-focused imaging.

You will mentor and train junior sonographers and students, contribute to quality assurance and accreditation efforts, and maintain the clinical roster with leadership time allocated.

Qualifications

• Accredited postgraduate qualification in Medical Ultrasound.
• Current ASAR registration.
• Demonstrated experience across a broad range of ultrasound examinations.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Proficiency with ultrasound equipment and software.
• Sound understanding of quality assurance and accreditation requirements.
• Experience in a senior clinical or modality lead/coordinator role.
• Experience with protocol development or clinical procedure review.
• Familiarity with RIS/PACS systems and medical imaging software.
• Involvement in accreditation processes or quality improvement initiatives.

In this senior clinical role, reporting to the Operations Manager, you will provide clinical and technical leadership across our sonography services. You will work alongside the sonography team, supporting clinical practice, equipment performance and procedural compliance, while helping to ensure our ultrasound services consistently deliver high-quality, patient-focused care.

A key part of the role will be supporting the training and development of new and existing sonographers, as well as students, and contributing to ongoing quality improvement across the modality.

You will continue to participate in the clinical roster, with dedicated administrative time provided to undertake the additional leadership responsibilities associated with the role.
