Job summary

South Coast Radiology on the Gold Coast is seeking a Tutor Sonographer to balance hands‑on clinical scanning with education for postgraduate and undergraduate students. You will mentor learners while continuing your own clinical practice within a supportive multidisciplinary team.

The role offers opportunities to contribute to competency assessments, learning program development, and ongoing professional growth within the Integral Diagnostics network.

Qualifications

• Graduate Diploma or Master of Medical Sonography (ASAR accredited).
• Minimum five years' clinical sonography experience.
• A genuine passion for teaching, mentoring and developing others.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Strong technical knowledge and commitment to high‑quality patient care.
• Experience with RIS/PACS and digital reporting platforms (desirable).

Responsibilities

• Delivering one‑on‑one clinical training to postgraduate student sonographers throughout their 24‑month training program.
• Mentoring undergraduate sonography students during clinical placements.
• Supporting competency assessments, progress reviews and ongoing professional development.
• Coordinating student workflows, diary management and learning opportunities.
• Participating in IDX education programs and tutor forums to enhance training standards.
• Maintaining balance between clinical scanning and education in a collaborative environment.
