Gold Coast Hospital & Health Service (Sydney CBD NSW) invites experienced Sonographers – Advanced (Maternal Fetal Medicine) to join our team. You will perform advanced real-time ultrasound examinations, lead supervision and education, and contribute to research while delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging.

Base salary ranges from $149,360 to $155,647 per annum or $75.32 to $78.50 per hour, with 12.75% super and 17.5% leave loading plus flexible work options and salary packaging.

Qualifications

• Possession of a Graduate / Post Graduate Diploma or equivalent in Medical Ultrasound from a registered tertiary institution.
• ASAR accreditation
• Vaccination evidence or ability to be vaccinated against Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
• Tuberculosis screening may be required
• Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
• Criminal History Screening required for new employees (cost covered by GCH)

Responsabilités

• Perform advanced, independent real-time ultrasound examinations
• Be responsible for the primary detection, evaluation and diagnosis of pathology in real-time and produce sonographer reports for medical specialists
• Perform examinations using independent professional judgement and established clinical protocols, standards and ethics
• Provide active leadership in the clinical practice supervision and education of staff and students
• Apply clinical evidence that supports improvement in the provision of the ultrasound service

An opportunity has become available for several Sonographers – Advanced (Maternal Fetal Medicine) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 13 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.

You will

• Perform advanced, independent real-time ultrasound examinations
• Be responsible for the primary detection, evaluation and diagnosis of pathology in real-time and produce sonographer reports for medical specialists
• Perform examinations using independent professional judgement and established clinical protocols, standards and ethics
• Provide active leadership in the clinical practice supervision and education of staff and students
• Apply clinical evidence that supports improvement in the provision of the ultrasound service

About you

To be successful in this position you will require:

• Possession of a qualification in Graduate / Post Graduate Diploma or equivalent in Medical Ultrasound from a registered tertiary institution
• Australian Sonographers Accreditation Registry (ASAR) accreditation
• Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
• Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
• Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
• Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)
