Job summary

Gold Coast Health is seeking several Sonographers - Advanced (Maternal Fetal Medicine) to join Gold Coast University Hospital. You will perform advanced, independent real-time ultrasound examinations and produce reports for medical specialists.

The role also involves leadership in supervision and education of staff and students, applying clinical evidence to enhance ultrasound services within a renowned health system on the Gold Coast.

Qualifications

• Graduate or Post Graduate Diploma in Medical Ultrasound from a registered tertiary institution.
• ASAR accreditation.
• Vaccination against Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B.
• TB screening to identify vaccination requirements.
• Criminal History Screening will be required (cost covered).
• Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced, independent real-time ultrasound examinations.
• Primary detection, evaluation and diagnosis of pathology in real-time with reports for medical specialists.
• Provide clinical practice supervision and education to staff and students.
• Apply clinical evidence to improve ultrasound service delivery.
