Gold Coast Health invites applications from Advanced Sonographers (Maternal Fetal Medicine) to join our team in providing world-class ultrasound services. You will perform advanced, independent real-time examinations, produce reports for specialists and lead supervision and education of staff and students.

We support flexible work options, research opportunities and professional development. Base salary is AU$149,360–AU$155,647 per year, plus superannuation and leave loading; total compensation

Qualifications

• Graduate / Post Graduate Diploma or equivalent in Medical Ultrasound from a registered tertiary institution.
• ASAR accreditation.
• Evidence of vaccination (Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis, Hepatitis B).
• TB screening completed or in process.
• Disclosure of serious discipline history.
• Criminal History Screening required (cost covered by GCH).

Sonographer - Advanced (Maternal Fetal Medicine)

An opportunity has become available for several Sonographers – Advanced (Maternal Fetal Medicine) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 13 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.

You will

• Perform advanced, independent real-time ultrasound examinations
• Be responsible for the primary detection, evaluation and diagnosis of pathology in real-time and produce sonographer reports for medical specialists
• Perform examinations using independent professional judgement and established clinical protocols, standards and ethics
• Provide active leadership in the clinical practice supervision and education of staff and students
• Apply clinical evidence that supports improvement in the provision of the ultrasound service

About you

To be successful in this position you will require:

• Possession of a qualification in Graduate / Post Graduate Diploma or equivalent in Medical Ultrasound from a registered tertiary institution
• Australian Sonographers Accreditation Registry (ASAR) accreditation
• Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
• Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
• Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
• Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

• Permanent full time and permanent part time (several positions, hrs negotiable)
• Base salary ranging from $149,360 - $155,647 per annum or $75.32 - $78.50 per hour
