SimCorp is seeking an APAC Solutions Engineer to join our team in Sydney, Singapore, or Hong Kong. You will configure demos, respond to RFPs, and lead functional components of the sales cycle across APAC opportunities. Fluency in Mandarin is essential to liaise with North Asia clients.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years in FinTech implementations, transformations, presales, or relationship management with portfolio management exposure.

  • Foundational technical knowledge, APIs and data workflows.

Responsibilities

  • Own detailed preparation and configuration work to enable high-quality demos and PoCs.
  • Respond to RFPs/RFIs and prepare tailored solution proposals.
  • Partner with the Sales team to own functional components across APAC opportunities.
  • Deliver impactful product and functional presentations to prospects.
  • Participate in discovery sessions to map client pain points to solutions.

Why is the role important to us

SimCorp APAC is seeking a Solutions Engineer to join our APAC team in Singapore/HK/Sydney. This role is critical in supporting the functional aspects of the sales process and solving complex prospects challenges through SimCorp’s multi-asset investment management platform. You will work closely with the wider Sales team and other internal teams to configure and deliver compelling demonstrations, scope solutions, and help solve complex client challenges. Your contribution will directly influence deal success and client trust across the APAC region. The role will focus on portfolio management activities and related workflows, while also touching on broader aspects of SimCorp’s solutions across data, risk & performance, compliance, order management, operations, and accounting.

What you will be responsible for

In this role, you will focus on the functional and technical components of the sales cycle - taking ownership of detailed preparation and configuration work that enables high-quality demonstrations and Proof of Concepts. Your efforts will help solve complex prospect challenges and build trust, with the ultimate goal of winning clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Configure and maintain internal demonstration environment to ensure readiness for client demos.
  • Assist in responding to RFPs/RFIs and preparing tailored solution proposals.
  • Partner with the wider Sales team to own functional components of the sales cycle across APAC opportunities.
  • Deliver impactful product & functional presentations to prospects.
  • Participate in discovery sessions to understand client pain points and map solutions.
  • Coordinate closely with internal teams (Product, Professional Services, SMEs) to align solution design with client needs.
  • Proof of Concepts and contribute to functional and technical aspects for demos, including scripts.
  • Stay up to date on market developments and link them to platform workflows.
  • Light to moderate travel as required for sales activity.

Key Skills and Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in FinTech (implementations, transformations, presales, or relationship management with functional/commercial exposure) with exposure to portfolio management activities. Demonstrated skills in creative problem-solving, complemented by a thoroughness in detail. Good understanding of financial markets and investment processes. Foundational technical knowledge (e.g., APIs, data workflows) and familiarity with multi-asset (securities, derivatives, loans, public and private assets). Proficient in sharing information and delivering presentations; skilled in clarifying complicated concepts. Ability to perform well in a fluid work atmosphere and adjust quickly.
