Job summary

Ignite is seeking an experienced Solution Architect in Canberra to lead the design, transition and modernisation of complex enterprise environments. You will guide the migration of on-premise capabilities to Salesforce and TechnologyOne while ensuring continuity and governance.

You will collaborate with business stakeholders, project managers, analysts, engineers, and testers to deliver scalable, secure architectures.

Qualifications

• Strong track record as a Solution Architect in complex enterprise environments.
• Experience translating business and technical requirements into practical solution designs.
• Proven ability to lead architecture activities across programs and stakeholders.
• Expertise in producing and maintaining architecture artefacts and documentation.
• Solid understanding of enterprise architecture frameworks, standards and governance.

Responsibilities

• Lead solution architecture activities across multiple programs of work.
• Translate business and technical requirements into High-Level and Detailed-Level Designs.
• Design and deliver architectural solutions that support evolving business needs.
• Provide architecture leadership and technical guidance to delivery teams and stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain architecture artefacts, diagrams, integration designs and data flows.
• Support migration of legacy capabilities into modern SaaS platforms.

We are seeking an experienced Solution Architect to lead the design, transition and modernisation of complex enterprise environments. This role will support the transition of on-premise bespoke capabilities into SaaS platforms including Salesforce and TechnologyOne while maintaining existing capabilities and business continuity.

Working within multidisciplinary teams, you will collaborate with business stakeholders, project managers, business analysts, software engineers, integration specialists, data specialists and testers to deliver high-quality solution architectures that support organisational transformation and long-term business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead solution architecture activities across multiple programs of work.
• Translate business and technical requirements into High-Level Designs (HLDs) and Detailed-Level Designs (DLDs).
• Design and deliver architectural solutions that support emerging business requirements.
• Provide architecture leadership and technical guidance to delivery teams and stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain architecture artefacts, including solution designs, architectural diagrams, integration designs, process flows and data flows.
• Support the migration of legacy capabilities into modern SaaS platforms.
• Develop transition strategies and decommissioning roadmaps for legacy applications and technologies.
• Review and provide feedback on solutions delivered by implementation partners.
• Present architecture designs, recommendations and risks to governance boards and executive stakeholders.
• Ensure solutions align with enterprise architecture principles, security requirements, standards and business objectives.
• Provide advice on current and emerging technologies, ensuring future architecture requirements are considered.
• Deliver architecture outcomes with a focus on simplicity, scalability, integration and business continuity.

• Experience developing current-state and future-state architecture models.
• Experience creating transition plans and decommissioning roadmaps for legacy systems.
• Expertise in producing and maintaining architecture documentation and design artefacts.
• Strong understanding of enterprise architecture frameworks, standards and governance processes.
