Job summary

Tekoi Consulting is seeking a hands-on Architecture and Presales Architect to lead technical discovery and translate customer needs into practical solution designs. You will develop accurate bills of materials, engage vendors, and support opportunities from qualification to proposal and handover.

A strong Cisco and enterprise network background with VMware experience is essential. You will design secure, scalable data centre and campus solutions, using HPE/Dell/NetApp platforms where relevant,

Qualifications

• Eight+ years in enterprise networking, data centre and infra tech.
• Five+ years in Solutions/Presales/Infra Architect or senior design role.
• Strong practical Cisco knowledge.
• Broad network architecture experience across data centre, campus and WAN/LAN, high availability and security.

Job description

This is a hands-on architecture and presales role. You will lead technical discovery, translate customer requirements into practical solution designs, develop accurate bills of materials, engage with vendors and distributors, and support opportunities from initial qualification through to proposal, customer presentation and project handover. The successful candidate must have strong Cisco and enterprise network architecture experience, understand VMware-based infrastructure, and have demonstrated experience designing solutions involving HPE, Dell Technologies or NetApp. You will need to understand not only whether a solution works technically, but whether it is complete, deliverable, commercially competitive and appropriate for the customer.

Key responsibilities

• Lead customer discovery sessions and technical workshops.
• Understand customer business, technical, operational and commercial requirements.
• Design secure, resilient and scalable network and data centre solutions.
• Develop high-level and detailed solution architectures.
• Build complete and accurate bills of materials using vendor and distributor tools.
• Design Cisco networking solutions across data centre, campus, branch, wireless, security and connectivity environments.
• Develop infrastructure solutions incorporating compute, virtualisation, storage, backup and disaster recovery.
• Design and validate VMware environments, including compute, storage, networking, resilience and licensing requirements.
• Develop solutions incorporating HPE, Dell Technologies or NetApp platforms.
• Produce architecture diagrams, solution designs, scopes of work, implementation assumptions and technical documentation.

About you

• A minimum of eight years' relevant experience across enterprise networking, data centre and infrastructure technologies.
• At least five years' experience in a Solutions Architect, Presales Architect, Infrastructure Architect or equivalent senior solution-design role.
• Strong, practical knowledge of Cisco technologies.
• Strong understanding of network architecture, including data centre networking, campus and branch networking, LAN and WAN, routing and switching, wireless networking, network segmentation, high availability and resilience, firewalls, VPNs and network security, internet connectivity and redundancy.
• Proven ability to independently build, validate and document complete and accurate bills of materials.
• Experience using vendor or distributor configuration and quoting tools.
• Strong understanding of VMware virtualisation environments.
• Experience designing solutions using at least one of the following: HPE compute and infrastructure, Dell Technologies compute, storage or data centre platforms, NetApp storage and data management platforms.
• Understanding of compute, storage, backup, disaster recovery and infrastructure dependencies.
