Job summary

Hydrogen UK Ltd is seeking an experienced Solution Architect to lead the design and implementation of scalable, secure technology solutions across business domains in Australia. You will bridge business needs and technology, working with cross-functional teams to align architectures with strategic goals.

You will provide architectural leadership across cloud, on-premise, and hybrid environments, covering application design, integration, data strategy, and security.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in a solutions architect or senior technical role.
• Proven design and delivery experience across cloud, hybrid, and on-prem environments.
• Experience with integration, data strategies, and security protocols.
• Certification such as AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect, or TOGAF.
• Ability to present complex IT concepts to diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into architectural designs and solution blueprints.
• Design end-to-end solutions covering applications, data, integration, infrastructure, and security layers.
• Evaluate and recommend technologies, frameworks, tools, and platforms to meet current and future needs.
• Lead solution architecture reviews and provide governance throughout the project lifecycle to ensure best practices and standards.
• Partner with engineering teams during solution implementation to ensure architectural integrity.
• Contribute to development of architectural standards, patterns, and guidelines across the organization.
• Support RFPs, RFIs, and business case development from a technical standpoint.
• Engage in pre-sales or stakeholder presentations where architectural input is required.
• Keep up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and architectural practices.

We are seeking a well-rounded and experienced Solution Architect to lead the design and implementation of innovative, scalable, and secure technology solutions across a wide range of business domains. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between business needs and technology, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver architecture that aligns with strategic goals and technical standards.

You will be responsible for providing architectural leadership across cloud, on-premise, and hybrid environments, working on everything from application design and integration to infrastructure and data strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into architectural designs and solution blueprints.
• Design end-to-end solutions covering applications, data, integration, infrastructure, and security layers.
• Evaluate and recommend technologies, frameworks, tools, and platforms to meet both current and future needs.
• Lead solution architecture reviews and provide governance throughout the project lifecycle to ensure best practices and standards are met.
• Partner with engineering teams during solution implementation to ensure architectural integrity and technical feasibility.
• Contribute to the development of architectural standards, patterns, and guidelines across the organization.
• Support RFPs, RFIs, and business case development from a technical standpoint.

Experience:

• 5+ years of experience in a solutions architect, systems architect, or senior technical role.
• Proven experience designing and implementing solutions in cloud (AWS, Azure, or GCP), hybrid, and on-premise environments.
• Familiarity with integration techniques (APIs, RESTful services, messaging platforms), data platforms, and security protocols
• Architecture certification(s) such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect, TOGAF
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience delivering high-quality strategic architecture artefacts and outcomes
• Highly developed interpersonal skills with the ability to engage with and present complex technical IT concepts and methodologies to technical and non-technical stakeholders and decision-makers at all levels
• Understanding of cloud platforms in a complex enterprise environment (AWS mandatory)
• Ability to collaborate effectively in partnership with stakeholders across all Technology related disciplines, including project managers and solution architects
