Job description

Contract until December 2026, with view to extend

We are seeking an experienced Architecture Outcome Lead to play a key role in the design and delivery of modern, event-driven solutions within a complex enterprise environment. This role leads the definition of logical architecture and corresponding physical designs to meet identified business needs, ensuring alignment with established enterprise architecture roadmaps and principles.

You will guide delivery teams through the modernisation of a core legacy platform, with a primary focus on event production—designing and enabling high-quality system events that support scalable integration, near real-time data availability, and long-term architectural transformation.

Key Responsibilities

Identify and model system events that represent meaningful business moments and system state changes.
Design and govern the production of legacy-based system events in line with established architectural standards.
Ensure events are fit for downstream consumption and support broader modernisation objectives.

Event-Driven Enablement

Architect event streams that enable loosely coupled, event-driven integrations across the organisation.
Support downstream services and workflows through robust event-driven processing patterns.

Near Real-Time Data Replication

Define event publication patterns that enable near real-time replication of legacy data.
Support reliable projections of legacy entities to enable parallel delivery of new capabilities.
Ensure solution architecture aligns with enterprise architecture principles and roadmaps.
Provide architectural guidance across the full lifecycle, from logical design through to implementation.
Conduct analysis and design of transition options for complex systems.
Provide design governance to ensure solutions meet organisational standards and operating requirements.
Collaborate with architects and delivery teams to develop logical ICT designs informed by business drivers and industry best practice.
Estimate solution delivery using knowledge of contemporary infrastructure, application development techniques, and delivery methodologies.

Strong experience delivering solution architecture within enterprise environments
Proven expertise in event-driven architecture and integration patterns
Experience modernising legacy systems while enabling coexistence with contemporary platforms
Ability to provide architectural leadership, governance, and clear technical direction
Strong stakeholder engagement and collaboration skills
