Job summary

Bridge Legal is a boutique practice in Caboolture, handling residential and commercial conveyancing across Queensland, NSW and the Northern Territory, plus wills and estates. An admitted solicitor will lead files, supervise paralegals, and engage directly with clients.

You will oversee conveyancing matters end-to-end, shape the growing estate practice, and report to the Principal while benefiting from autonomy and professional development opportunities. Hybrid working available after probation.

Qualifications

• Admitted as a legal practitioner with an unrestricted practising certificate.
• Proven capacity to run conveyancing matters independently in Queensland, including PEXA settlements.
• Experience supervising unadmitted staff, including reviewing and signing off their work.
• Comfort with direct client contact and sensitive conversations in estates work.
• Commercial judgement: profitability, scoping and billing.

Bridge Legal is a boutique practice based in Caboolture, acting in residential and commercial conveyancing across Queensland, NSW and the Northern Territory, alongside a wills, estates and succession practice we are actively growing.

We are looking for an admitted solicitor to take genuine ownership of our conveyancing work and to help lead our paralegal team. This is a role with real autonomy, you will run your own files, make your own calls, and deal directly with your clients.

The role

• Conduct residential and commercial conveyancing matters in Queensland and the Northern Territory, from instruction to settlement, independently.
• Supervise three unadmitted paralegals, allocating work, reviewing documents and acting as first point of escalation.
• Contribute to our wills, estates and succession practice, with the scope of that work reflecting your experience and growing over time.
• Work directly with clients throughout their matter and build relationships with our referral network.
• Reporting directly to the Principal, with visibility across the whole practice.

What you will bring

• Admission as a legal practitioner and a current unrestricted practising certificate (employee level).
• Proven capacity to run conveyancing matters independently in Queensland, including PEXA settlements.
• Experience supervising unadmitted staff, including reviewing and signing off their work.
• Confidence in direct client contact including the sensitive conversations that come with estates work.
• Commercial judgement: an understanding of matter profitability, scoping and billing promptly.

Viewed favorably

• Northern Territory and New South Wales conveyancing experience. We act in all three jurisdictions, and if you have not worked in the Territory before we will expect you to develop that capability.
• Wills, estates and succession experience including will drafting, probate or estate administration or a genuine interest in building your knowledge in it.
• Around five years or more post-admission experience.
