PV Legal in Brisbane CBD is seeking a Solicitor with about 2+ years’ post-admission experience to join our growing general practice. You will work across commercial and corporate matters, property, wills and estate administration, trusts, taxation and wealth advisory, with mentoring and gradual ownership of matters.

The role offers a broad, varied workload in a supportive team, a modern Brisbane office and hybrid flexibility following induction.

PV Legal is seeking a capable and motivated Solicitor with approximately 2+ years’ post-admission experience to join our growing Brisbane CBD practice.

This is an opportunity for a lawyer who wants more than a narrowly defined role.

You will work across a diverse range of matters and have the opportunity to develop your experience in areas including commercial and corporate law, property and conveyancing, wills and estate administration, trusts, taxation, superannuation, wealth advisory and charities and not-for-profits.

We do not expect you to be experienced in every area.

You may already have experience in property, conveyancing, wills and estates, commercial law or another practice area. What matters most is that you have developed sound legal foundations, can communicate confidently with clients, produce high-quality work and are motivated to broaden your skills.

For the right lawyer, we will provide mentoring, practical training and the opportunity to develop experience across areas in which you may not yet have worked.

The Role

Depending on your existing experience, your responsibilities will include:

• managing and assisting with a broad range of legal matters;

• meeting with and advising clients under appropriate supervision;

• drafting legal advice, correspondence, agreements, deeds and other legal documents;

• assisting with commercial and corporate transactions;

• assisting with residential and commercial property and conveyancing matters;

• preparing and reviewing contracts and related documentation;

• assisting with wills, estate planning and deceased estate administration;

• undertaking legal research and preparing written advice;

• liaising with clients, accountants, financial advisers, banks, brokers, government authorities, other solicitors and professional advisers;

• managing matter deadlines and ensuring files progress efficiently;

• identifying legal and commercial issues and assisting to develop practical solutions;

• maintaining accurate and well-organised matter files;

• contributing to the development of precedents, systems and internal knowledge;

• assisting and collaborating with paralegals and other members of the team; and

• progressively taking greater ownership of matters as your experience and capability develop.

The precise mix of work will reflect the successful candidate's existing experience, interests and professional development goals.

• hold, or are eligible to hold, a current Queensland practising certificate;

Highly Regarded, but Not Essential

Experience in one or more of the following areas will be advantageous:

• property and conveyancing;

• wills and estate planning;

• deceased estate administration;

• commercial and corporate law;

• commercial property and leasing;

• trusts;

• taxation;

• superannuation;

• business structuring;

• charities and not-for‑profits;

• LEAP legal practice management software; or

• PEXA and electronic settlements.

You are not expected to have experience across all of these areas.

We would rather appoint a lawyer with strong foundations, the right attitude and the ability to learn than someone who simply ticks every technical box.
