Job summary

Lifecycle Electrical Pty Ltd is a growing electrical and renewable energy contractor on the Gold Coast, delivering solar, battery storage, electrical and maintenance solutions across South East Queensland. We seek a skilled Solar Technician for a full-time, on-site role servicing Gold Coast and Brisbane regions, focusing on fault finding, commissioning, maintenance and technical reporting.

Qualifications

• Queensland Electrical Licence required.
• Strong experience in solar industry essential.
• Solar PV accreditation required.
• Battery accreditation highly regarded.
• Strong electrical fault-finding and troubleshooting ability.
• Experience commissioning solar and battery systems.
• Understanding of residential and commercial solar systems.
• Comfort using inverter portals, monitoring platforms and manufacturer software.
• Good understanding of electrical testing and compliance requirements.
• Strong attention to detail and thorough documentation.

Responsibilities

• Solar PV and battery fault finding and diagnostics.
• Residential and commercial solar maintenance and servicing.
• Inverter and battery commissioning.
• Solar monitoring and communications troubleshooting.
• Electrical testing and fault finding.
• System inspections and technical reporting.
• Warranty and rectification works.
• Solar PV and battery installations when required.
• Work across multiple platforms and vendors.
• Provide technical support to installation team.
• Identify performance issues and recommend solutions.

• Liaise professionally with customers and contractors.

Lifecycle Electrical Pty Ltd is a growing electrical and renewable energy contractor based on the Gold Coast, delivering residential and commercial solar, battery storage, electrical and maintenance solutions across South East Queensland and interstate.

Our work ranges from residential solar and battery systems through to large-scale commercial installations, ongoing maintenance, fault finding and technical rectification works.

We pride ourselves on quality workmanship, strong technical capability and doing things properly. We are looking for another experienced person to join our team as we continue to grow.

The Role

We are looking for a Solar Technician to join our Gold Coast team in a full-time, on-site role, primarily servicing the Gold Coast, Brisbane and surrounding areas.

This isn't purely a solar installation role.

We are looking for someone who enjoys the technical side of the industry and is confident diagnosing problems, commissioning systems and getting to the bottom of faults.

Your day-to-day work will include:

• Solar PV and battery system fault finding and diagnostics
• Residential and commercial solar maintenance
• Inverter and battery commissioning
• Solar monitoring and communications troubleshooting
• Testing and electrical fault finding
• System inspections and technical reporting
• Warranty and rectification works
• Solar PV and battery installations when required
• Working across a range of inverter, battery and monitoring platforms
• Assisting with technical support for our installation team
• Identifying system performance issues and recommending solutions
• Completing testing, commissioning and compliance documentation
• Liaising professionally with customers, builders, facility managers and other contractors

You’ll be joining a young, energetic team that takes its work seriously without taking itself too seriously. We want someone who can work independently in the field while also being a strong part of the wider team.

About You

Ideally, you will have:

• Queensland Electrical Licence
• Strong experience within the solar industry
• Solar PV accreditation
• Battery accreditation highly regarded
• Strong electrical fault-finding and troubleshooting ability
• Experience commissioning solar and battery systems
• Understanding of residential and commercial solar systems
• Confidence using inverter portals, monitoring platforms and manufacturer software
• Good understanding of electrical testing and compliance requirements
• Strong attention to detail
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of jobs
• Current driver's licence
• Construction White Card

Experience with platforms such as Sungrow, Sigenergy, Tesla Powerwall, SolarEdge, Fronius, GoodWe and Fox ESS would be highly regarded.

Experience with thermal imaging, insulation resistance testing, communications/network troubleshooting and commercial solar maintenance would also be advantageous.
