Job summary

Smart Energy Answers is seeking an Engineering Technologist to design, develop, and implement solar and renewable energy systems at our Castle Hill office. You will support residential, commercial, and utility-scale projects in a full-time role.

Qualifications include an engineering technology or related degree and hands-on experience with solar PV systems. Proficiency in AutoCAD and PVsyst is preferred; strong communication and site-visit capabilities are essential.

Qualifications

Relevant qualification in Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or related field.
Experience in solar PV system design, installation, or renewable energy engineering support.
Knowledge of solar energy systems and electrical principles.
Familiarity with Australian Standards and compliance for solar/renewable projects.

Responsibilities

Assist engineers in design, development, and testing of solar systems.
Prepare drawings, specs, layouts, and documentation for PV installations.
Conduct site inspections, assessments, and feasibility studies.
Perform system performance testing and evaluation of equipment.
Assist in selecting materials, equipment, and components.
Provide technical support during installation, commissioning, and maintenance.
Analyze data to identify inefficiencies and suggest improvements.
Ensure designs and installations comply with Australian Standards and codes.
Liaise with engineers, managers, contractors, and clients to support delivery timelines.
Prepare technical reports, project docs, and compliance records.
Contribute to continuous improvement of engineering processes and renewable energy solutions.
