Job summary

Prestige Civil Group in Melbourne is seeking a skilled Soil Yard Hand/Operator to join our busy soil screening facility. You will operate heavy machinery ( Excavator, Front End Loader, Bulldozer ), handle material deliveries and help maintain safe yard levels.

The role requires experience in soil screening, clean fill or crushing yard operations, a HR/HC truck licence, and a strong safety mindset. You’ll work independently and as part of a supportive team in a full-time capacity.

Qualifications

• Experience in soil screening facility, clean fill or crushing yard operations.
• HR/HC Truck Licence is required.
• Strong safety focus and equipment maintenance knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy machinery including Excavator, Front End Loader and Bulldozer.
• Assist with daily operations at the soil screening facility.
• General cleaning and maintenance of equipment and yards.
• Follow all safety procedures and contribute to a safe work environment.
• Process orders accurately and provide correct information for dispatch.

The Opportunity:
We are currently looking for a skilledSoil Yard Hand/Operatorto join our team.You will play a key role in the operations at our busy soil screening facility, taking responsibility for the operation of heavy machinery, managing incoming and outgoing material deliveries, and maintaining safe material levels within the yard. If you have experience in soil screening, clean fill, or crushing yard operations, and you take pride in ensuring safety and equipment care, this is a great opportunity to join a dynamic and supportive team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operation of heavy machinery including:
  • Excavator
  • Front End Loader
  • Bulldozer
• Assist with daily operations at the soil screening facility
• General cleaning and maintenance of equipment (e.g., unblocking screen, greasing machinery outside of service intervals)
• Follow all safety procedures and contribute to a safe work environment
• Process orders accurately,ensuring the correct information is provided to the team for dispatch
