Job summary

Terra Firma Laboratories seeks a Soil Technician to join our Pakenham team, performing field density and compaction tests in line with Australian Standards. You will record results, maintain equipment and liaise with clients on civil infrastructure projects.

Ideal candidates will have NATA-lab experience, an NDG licence, a valid Australian driver’s licence and a strong safety and quality mindset, with the ability to work independently or in a team.

Qualifications

• Experience in a NATA-accredited construction materials testing laboratory.
• Demonstrated ability to perform soil testing per AS 1289, especially AS 1289.5.8.1.
• Excellent safety, quality focus and attention to detail.
• Valid Australian Driver's Licence.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out field density and compaction testing.
• Perform testing in accordance with AS 1289 and AS 1289.5.8.1.
• Record accurate results and complete documentation.
• Maintain testing equipment and company vehicles.
• Liaise professionally with clients, contractors and project personnel.
• Work safely complying with procedures and NATA requirements.
