Job summary

Westpac Group is seeking a Software Engineering Specialist .Net to join the BizEdge integration team in Surfers Paradise. You will enhance, integrate and modernise critical lending systems within a complex legacy environment and help automate workflows between BizEdge and Target Lending Applications.

Collaborating with engineers, architects and delivery teams, you will design, develop and support solutions across Westpac's Business Lending platform, with a hybrid office-and-home work arrangement

Qualifications

• Strong experience working with legacy enterprise applications.
• Hands-on development experience with ASP.NET, C# and Web API.
• Solid Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles and design practices.
• Strong SQL and database development skills.
• Experience designing and securing APIs, including API authentication and security best practices.
• The ability to troubleshoot and work across complex, interconnected systems.
• Excellent problem-solving capabilities and a proactive, ownership-focused mindset.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate technical solutions and project contributions.

What’s the role?

Join the team delivering BizEdge, Westpac's next-generation Business Lending origination platform. BizEdge is transforming the way business lending is delivered, consolidating multiple legacy systems into a single platform for bankers, brokers and customers.

As a Software Engineering Specialist, you will work within a highly complex legacy application environment, enhancing, integrating and modernising critical lending systems. You'll play a key role in the BizEdge Integration Project, enabling seamless connectivity between BizEdge and Target Lending Applications (TLA) to automate lending workflows and improve customer and employee experiences.

Working alongside experienced engineers, architects and delivery teams, you'll contribute to the design, development and support of solutions that are critical to Westpac's Business Lending technology landscape.

This is a permanent opportunity based in Surfers Paradise on the Gold Coast, with a hybrid working model that combines time in the office with flexibility to work from home.

We're looking for a technically capable engineer who enjoys solving complex problems, takes ownership of outcomes and isn't afraid to challenge the status quo.
