Job summary

Northrop Grumman Australia is seeking a software engineer for the Secure Network Communications Program. You’ll help develop and evolve a secure communications products suite, gaining exposure to software, Linux, networking and system-level technologies while taking ownership of your work.

You’ll join a team that values curiosity, practical problem-solving and knowledge sharing, with supportive engineers and opportunities to grow your skills across the full solution.

Qualifications

  • Experience with Linux environments and software development.
  • Software Configuration Management, JIRA and Agile delivery environments.
  • Networked, distributed and/or secure systems.
  • Experience with embedded systems, firmware development, Linux kernel technologies or secure communications would be valued, but isn't essential.

Responsibilities

  • Day to day, you'll work with experienced engineers to develop, improve and support a complex secure communications solution.
  • Design, develop, integrate, test and document software capabilities.
  • Contribute to product development and improvements, modernisation activities and new feature development.
  • Work across multiple layers of the solution to improve performance, reliability and capability
  • Partner with systems, test and support teams to resolve technical issues.
  • Participate in technical reviews, design discussions and code reviews.
  • Share knowledge and support the development of less experienced engineers.
