Job summary

TekWissen is seeking a Software Engineer for a night shift role in Redmond, WA. This 12-month temporary assignment requires on-site work with 24/7 support, including on-call responsibilities.

The candidate should have 5+ years of software development experience, strong Python and Java coding skills, and a background in test automation. The job demands working either 7 AM–4 PM or 4 PM–7 AM shifts to cover 24/7 operations.

Note: This is a Night shift role. Candidates must be open to working either 7 AM to 4 PM or 4 PM to 7 AM shifts to support 24/7 operations with on-call responsibilities.

Pay Rate: $65.22-$65.22/HR

Job Description:

Key Job Responsibilities

• Strong Programing/Coding Skills Preference for Python and Java
• Design and implement automation solutions
• Develop monitoring and diagnostic tools to ensure reliability and early fault detection.
• Collaborate with other teams to align automation with Client’s operational objectives.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, continually enhancing the stability and performance of test processes.
• Contribute to code quality and best practices, providing mentorship to junior engineers.
• Conceptualize and execute a test campaign with functionality and performance. Engage with systems, hardware, and software development engineering teams
• Troubleshoot deeply: anticipate failures, collect data, analyze log files, compare models to observed behavior, root cause.
• Enhance testing efficiency by automating test execution and analysis.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
• 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
• The roles require minimum 5 years of non-internship professional software development experience with strong coding skills in Python and Java. Candidates must be open to working either 7 AM to 4 PM or 4 PM to 7 AM shifts to support 24/7 operations with on-call responsibilities.
• HM emphasized the need for test automation experience and system test automation skills beyond the basic Python and Java requirements. The work involves writing software automation frameworks and conducting system testing in an abstract manner. While other testing tools are learnable, the core automation and infrastructure testing capabilities are essential.
