You will work across the full software lifecycle, applying secure coding, CI/CD, and SecDevOps practices in a collaborative, technically challenging environment.

We are seeking an experienced Software Engineer with an active Top Secret Positive Vetting (TSPV) clearance to join a high-performing team delivering complex software solutions within a secure environment. This is an exciting permanent opportunity to work on meaningful, high-impact projects supporting critical national security initiatives. Based in Melbourne CBD, the role requires five days onsite and offers the opportunity to work with modern technologies in a collaborative, technically challenging environment.

The Opportunity

As a Software Engineer, you will be involved across the full software development lifecycle, designing, developing, testing and deploying secure, scalable and reliable software solutions. Working alongside multidisciplinary teams, you will contribute to innovative software development, system integration and continuous improvement initiatives while applying best-practice engineering principles.

• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate across technical teams.

Highly regarded technical experience

• Programming and frameworks including Java, .NET, React or Angular.
• REST APIs, JSON, XML and system integration.
• Open-source technologies including Kafka, NiFi, Elasticsearch (ELK Stack) or Solr.
• CI/CD and automation tools including GitLab, Git and Ansible.
• Containerisation technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Linux and Windows environments.
• Jira and Confluence.

Essential Requirements

• Active Top Secret Positive Vetting (TSPV/PV) security clearance - mandatory.
• Australian Citizenship.
• Ability to work onsite 5 days per week in Melbourne CBD.
• Willingness to work within a highly secure environment.
