Job summary

RPMGlobal is offering a Software Engineering Internship in Brisbane's CBD for late 2026 to mid-2027. The program provides hands-on work on internal RPM software projects across Mine Planning, AMT, IMAFS, MinVu and Simulation products.

Qualifications

• Legally entitled to work in Australia.
• On track to complete studies in 2027 (semester 1 or 2).
• Pursuing a degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics or related data/engineering.
• Exposure to C#, SQL or React.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to RPM software projects across Mine Planning, AMT, IMAFS, MinVu and Simulation teams.
• Apply software development practices including design, development, testing and Scrum.
• Collaborate with peers to deliver intern projects and learn from engineers.
• Assist with documentation and code reviews.

About the Role

RPMGlobal (RPM) is looking for multiple undergraduate students interested in software development to join our Software Engineering Internship program.

This paid internship runs from late November 2026 to mid February 2027 and is based in our Brisbane CBD head office. There is the potential for successful interns to be offered ongoing casual positions while completing their final year at university, and permanent full-time positions after graduation.
This internship provides you with the opportunity to work on internal RPM Software projects to apply and further develop the knowledge and skills gained through your university studies.

About You

To be eligible to apply, you must be:

• Legally entitled to work in Australia;
• On track to complete your studies in either semester 1 or 2 in 2027; and
• Studying a tertiary qualification in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics or other relevant studies in data, technology, or engineering.

You will need:

• Exposure to C# (or other similar OO languages), SQL, or React.
• Good understanding of software development principles
• Knowledge of and exposure to a software development environment (scrum, design, development, testing etc.)
• Strong analytic and problem solving skills
• Excellent communication skills and a team member attitude
