Job summary

Leidos Australia is seeking a Software Engineer in Canberra. In this role, you will work in a high-performing team to develop and maintain software components for mission-critical systems. The ideal candidate will have proficiency in programming languages such as Java and Python and experience delivering production systems through the software development lifecycle. Qualifications

• Proven experience as a software engineer delivering production systems across the SDLC.
• Familiarity with collaborative workflows.
• Understanding of secure, quality-focused development.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the development, integration, testing, and maintenance of software components.
• Design, develop, integrate, and test software components aligned with requirements.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to implement solutions according to defined requirements.

Skills

Proficiency in modern programming languages (Java, Python, JavaScript, C#)

Experience building or integrating APIs/services (REST)

Understanding of Agile and CI/CD

Education

Relevant degree in Computer Science/IT (or equivalent experience)

Tools

Development tools (source control, issue tracking)
