Job summary
Leidos Australia is seeking a Software Engineer in Canberra. In this role, you will work in a high-performing team to develop and maintain software components for mission-critical systems. The ideal candidate will have proficiency in programming languages such as Java and Python and experience delivering production systems through the software development lifecycle. You must be an Australian Citizen with an active TSPV security clearance. This position comes with various benefits, and a commitment to a family-friendly workplace.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a software engineer delivering production systems across the SDLC.
Familiarity with collaborative workflows.
Understanding of secure, quality-focused development.
Responsibilities
Contribute to the development, integration, testing, and maintenance of software components.
Design, develop, integrate, and test software components aligned with requirements.
Collaborate with stakeholders to implement solutions according to defined requirements.
Skills
Proficiency in modern programming languages (Java, Python, JavaScript, C#)
Experience building or integrating APIs/services (REST)
Understanding of Agile and CI/CD
Education
Relevant degree in Computer Science/IT (or equivalent experience)
Tools
Development tools (source control, issue tracking)
