Job summary

Leidos Australia is seeking a Technical Team Lead for the Mission Software Solutions team in Canberra. You will lead a high‑performing systems administration team responsible for sustainment and availability of critical enterprise platforms.

This role requires ITIL-aligned incident coordination, strong communication, and experience with Australian Defence or Intelligence Community contracts. On-site in Canberra, with opportunities to influence service strategy and grow technical leadership.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience in a technical team within a complex enterprise environment.
• Proven track record in ITIL-aligned incident coordination and service delivery management.
• Strong communication skills with ability to translate complex engineering challenges into clear summaries.
• Experience working on Australian Defence or Intelligence Community capability sustainment contracts.

Responsibilities

• Lead a high-performing systems administration team responsible for the sustainment and availability of critical enterprise platforms.
• Drive operational excellence by coordinating major incident response and optimizing service delivery.
• Influence technical strategy, governance and service performance with stakeholders.
• Provide leadership coverage for the Maintenance Lead and mentor technical staff across the maintenance function.
• The tech environment includes Linux (RHEL) and Windows Server deployments.
