Job summary

Slater and Gordon Lawyers are seeking a Software Engineer to design, develop and deliver scalable cloud platforms in a hybrid work environment. You will build in Node.js, champion serverless patterns and implement secure, observable systems that support a major technology transformation.

You will collaborate with stakeholders, apply SOLID principles, and contribute to engineering best practices while advancing your Azure and React.js skills in a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Strong experience building and supporting scalable, distributed cloud applications.
• Deep understanding of cloud architecture, including security, networking, resilience and observability.
• Hands-on experience with serverless and event-driven architectures.
• Strong programming skills, ideally in Node.js.
• Experience designing and optimising NoSQL databases and data models.
• Strong knowledge of Agile delivery and modern DevSecOps practices.
• Experience with Azure, Cosmos DB and highly available, fault-tolerant systems.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Ability to influence engineering best practices and mentor other engineers.
• Azure certifications and React.js experience highly regarded.
