Job summary

Topcon Positioning Systems (TPS) is seeking a Software Engineer to build and maintain custom Linux-based systems for embedded products. You will document software design, write and debug code, and support existing software on demand.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in C/C++ for real-time embedded environments, strong problem-solving skills, and excellent communication. Knowledge of Linux kernel drivers and hardware concepts is required, and Australian citizenship or residency is needed.

Qualifications

• Experience building custom Linux based systems for embedded products.
• Experience developing and supporting real-time embedded systems in an embedded Linux environment.
• 5+ years current C/C++ experience with above average coding skills.
• Sound experience in programming real-time applications.
• Demonstrated problem solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Team-oriented individual who can work well under pressure.
• Knowledge of Linux kernel and device-driver development.
• Knowledge of hardware and low-level development.
