Job summary

A national meteorological authority is seeking a qualified SOE and Application Packaging Engineer to provide level 2 ICT technical support across Australia. The role involves managing day-to-day operations, providing end-user support for Windows, Linux, and Apple environments, and ensuring exceptional customer experience. Applicants must be ITIL certified with strong communication skills. Available on-call roster may be required. The successful candidate will work closely within the Security group to improve end-user activities, thereby enhancing productivity and collaboration.

• Proven practical experience in dealing with internal colleagues, senior leaders, and external customers including vendors.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day operations support for the Security group with minimal direction.
• Engage in project work when they arise.
• Ensure an exceptional customer experience and contribute to the Bureau’s productivity, collaboration, and innovation.
• Provide end-user support for ICT services across Windows, Linux and Apple environments.
• Perform auditing, configuration and maintenance of software, hardware and associated peripherals.
• Provide advice, recommendations and reporting on all matters related to ICT.
