Job summary

Green Light Worldwide is recruiting an SOE Engineer (NV1) for an initial 3–6 month onsite assignment in Canberra. The role requires an active AGSVA NV1 clearance and will support a federal government client, with possible interstate travel.

The successful candidate will lead Windows SOE development, deployment, and integration, handling packaging, virtualization, and ongoing maintenance in a distributed enterprise environment.

Qualifications

• Proven Windows SOE development and deployment experience.
• Strong Active Directory knowledge.
• Experience with MDT & WDS.
• Citrix VDI implementation and maintenance experience.
• MSI install packaging with App-V experience.
• Powershell scripting knowledge.
• Security vulnerability management and patching expertise.

Responsibilities

• Develop, build and deploy Windows operating systems.
• Integrate ICT software with platform OS.
• Package and deploy applications with virtualization.
• Perform proactive maintenance, patching, and upgrades.
• Deploy ICT software and applications across distributed enterprise.
• Remediate build defects and issues.
• Create and review SOPs, build guides and related artefacts.

Job description

Green Light are assisting in delivering projects for an industry leading organisation and have an immediate requirement for a talented SOE Engineer (NV1). The role an initial 3-6 month assignment with the view to extend. It is an onsite role based in Canberra.

This role does require an active AGSVA NV1 clearance at a minimum. Consultants that do not hold this minimum requirement will not be considered. This role will work with a federal government client and may require some interstate travel.

Responsibilities

• Development, build and implementation of Windows operating systems
• Integration of complex ICT infrastructure software and applications with platform operating systems
• Application Packaging, Virtualisation and Deployment
• Proactive maintenance, patching and upgrading of a distributed enterprise
• Deployment of ICT infrastructure software and applications
• Development and Build defect remediation
• Analyse, log, track, and resolve complex issues pertaining to Windows SOEs, and integrated business applications
• Creation and peer review of Standard Operating Procedure documentation (SOPs), build guides and related artefacts

Requirements

• Modern Microsoft Windows SOE Development & Deployment
• Proven experience with Microsoft Active Directory
• Microsoft Deployment Toolkit & Windows Deployment Services
• Citrix Virtual Desktop Infrastructure Implementation & Maintenance
• Microsoft Windows Installer and App-V Experience
• Powershell scripting knowledge
• Excellent knowledge of systems maintenance and security vulnerability management
• Good communication, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and part of a team
