Job summary

Barwon Health seeks a Social Worker (Grade 3) for the Barwon Early Parenting Centre to support families with children aged 0–4 years. You will provide psychosocial assessment and clinical intervention across inpatient and outpatient services as part of a multidisciplinary team, strengthening parent–child relationships and promoting positive mental health.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master of Social Work (AASW-accredited) with eligibility for AASW
• Experience applying social work knowledge in health or community settings
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage families and professionals
• Ability to work independently and in multidisciplinary teams

Responsibilities

• Provide psychosocial assessment and clinical intervention for children and families at BEPC
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and community organisations to support family wellbeing
• Offer consultations, referrals and connections to community services
• Maintain accurate clinical records and contribute to quality improvement and planning activities
