Job summary

Barwon Health is seeking an Early Parenting Practitioner to join the Barwon Early Parenting Centre in Geelong. The role supports families with children aged 0–4, guiding parents in feeding, sleep, play and safety while working under supervision of senior nursing staff.

The position is permanent part-time (40 hours per fortnight) with good work‑life balance, five weeks annual leave pro‑rata, and salary packaging benefits.

Qualifications

• Diploma level nursing or related child health qualification.
• Diploma in Children’s Services or equivalent childcare qualification.
• Diploma in Early Childhood Development or youth work.
• Degree in Psychology or Social Work preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide frontline care to families and support healthy parent‑child relationships.
• Plan, organise, implement, guide and evaluate play and learning experiences.
• Liaise with community teams and external organisations on consumer care.
• Deliver day‑to‑day care aligned with the care plan.
