Job summary

St Vincent's Hospital Darlinghurst in Sydney is seeking a Social Worker (Level 1-2) on a max term full-time contract until June 2027. You will deliver specialist psychosocial assessments and counselling for people using stimulants, developing care plans within a multidisciplinary team.

The role requires a Social Work degree with AASW eligibility, and experience in high-demand settings. DV and child protection knowledge is valued; on-site work and a supportive hospital environment are offered.

Qualifications

• Degree in Social Work, eligible for AASW membership.
• Experience in high-demand environments with competing priorities.
• Knowledge of DV, child protection, guardianship and victims of crime legislation.
• Clinical skills in bio-psychosocial assessment, counselling, case management and discharge planning.

Responsibilities

• Deliver psychosocial assessments, counselling and health education for people who use stimulants.
• Develop individualised care plans addressing consumer needs.
• Provide social work interventions including advocacy, referral management and care coordination.
• Develop and facilitate group programs and contribute to service improvements.
• Work within a multidisciplinary team to ensure coordinated care and best-practice service delivery.
