Job summary

Talent Quarter currently has a locum opportunity for an experienced Social Worker in Mount Isa, Queensland. ASAP start for 4–5 weeks, accommodation provided and relocation assistance available (up to $1,000).

The role covers inpatient and outpatient caseloads across adult and paediatric wards, including Emergency Department, with a supportive multidisciplinary team. Acute hospital experience is essential, and you will work in a rural remote setting, offering a broad range of social work services

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–4 years’ post-graduate Social Work experience.
• Strong and recent acute hospital experience is essential.
• Confident working across a hospital environment, including inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Experience working with complex presentations and collaborating within a multidisciplinary team.
• Adaptable and confident working in rural and remote environment.
• Have a valid Background/Police Check and be able to provide at least two working references.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Social Worker withacute hospital experience to broaden their clinical skills, experience rural and remote healthcare, and enjoy an unforgettable outback adventure along the way.

The Role:

• Working acrossinpatient and outpatient caseloads
• Supporting patients across adult and paediatric wards,Emergency Department and outpatient services
• Working collaboratively within a young and dynamic multidisciplinary team
• Providing high-quality social work services across a diverse range of presentations
• Working alongside a supportive Allied Health team in a rural and remote setting
• Monday to Friday,8:00am–4:30pm, with a 1-hour unpaid break
• 4–5 week contract commencing ASAP
• Accommodation providedfor the duration of the contract
• Up to $1,000 relocation assistance(including GST) available

About You:
