Job summary

Canberra Health Services in the ACT invites expressions of interest for a six-month temporary Social Work Team Leader in Medical and Surgical Services at North Canberra Hospital. You will lead a team delivering inpatient and outpatient social work across Stroke Services, Hospital in the Home, and Surgical pathways.

Applicants should have at least six years as a Social Worker, with demonstrated clinical leadership, supervision and change-management capabilities in health settings.

Qualifications

• Minimum six years of experience as a Social Worker, preferably in health settings.
• Demonstrated experience providing clinical leadership, supervision and support in complex environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional, clinical and operational leadership to the social work team.
• Support service delivery across inpatient and outpatient programs including Stroke Services and Surgical Services.
• Contribute to operational planning, development and implementation, change management and HR management.
• Potential participation in on‑call rosters, including weekends and after-hours work.
