Job summary

Acknowledge Education in Perth, WA, invites applications for a Practice Education Liaison Officer – Social Work to support Master of Social Work placements and bridge theory with practice.

You will mentor students, collaborate with placement supervisors and agencies, and help learners grow confident, capable professionals within Australian social work standards. This is a full-time role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master of Social Work (or higher) and eligible for AASW membership.
• At least 5 years of post-qualification social work experience.
• Solid understanding of social work practice in an Australian context.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Ability to give constructive feedback and manage sensitive situations professionally.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Support and guide social work students through practice education placements.
• Build positive relationships with placement agencies, supervisors and academic teams.
• Conduct placement meetings and visits to monitor progress and learning outcomes.
• Facilitate induction and integration seminars, as required.
• Provide structured supervision and support student wellbeing as needed.
• Maintain accurate placement records and documentation in line with AASW requirements.
