Job summary

Acknowledge Education is seeking a Field Education Liaison Officer to support Master of Social Work students during placements. You will act as the link between AE, students and field agencies to ensure meaningful learning experiences and necessary support.

Key responsibilities include coordinating placements, conducting site visits, and maintaining records while upholding educational and ethical standards. Travel to agencies is required on occasion.

Qualifications

• Bachelor/Master in Social Work (AQF 7+)
• Eligibility for enrolment with AASW
• Minimum 5 years post-graduate social work experience
• Leadership and interpersonal/communication skills
• Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Willingness to travel to agencies as required
• Current Working With Children Check or willingness to obtain

Responsibilities

Job Description

Are you a passionate social worker who is interested in shaping and supporting the next generation of social workers? As a Field Education Liaison Officer, you’ll play a vital role in supporting Master of Social Work (Qualifying) students during their placement journey. Act as the link between the AE, students, and field agencies, ensuring every student gains meaningful learning experiences and the support they need to thrive.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as the primary contact for practice educationplacements, coordinating student support and evaluating activities
• Conduct site visits & evaluations - regularly check in with social work students and practice educationsupervisors.
• Manage placement records, assess student performance, identify and address any placement issues promptly.
• Ensure educational & ethical standards – Help integrate social work theory with practice, ensures compliance with ethical guidelines,facilitates reflective learning through supervision and feedbackintegrative seminars, and other teaching and associated activities.

Qualifications

• Hold a Bachelors, Masters or higher qualification in Social Work (AQF 7 or above)
• Eligibility for enrolment with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW)
• 5 years of post graduate experience in social work roles.
• Demonstrate leadership capabilities with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks efficiently under minimal supervision.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Willing to travel to agencies on occasion as required.
• Current Working With Children's Check (or willingness to obtain)
