Job summary

Seven Media Group is seeking a Social Media Producer to transform daily news into engaging content for Morning TV audiences across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, and more. You’ll work with producers, hosts, and editors to spot opportunities from on and off air and publish digital-first content.

You will be early in your career, combining a passion for news with strong social platforms knowledge and audience behavior insights to drive engagement and reach.

Responsibilities

• Create and publish engaging Morning TV content across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube and other social platforms.
• Create compelling digital-first content including sponsored content and brand integrations.
• Edit video content for social media, including vertical video, reels, shorts and long-form formats.
• Work closely with producers, hosts and editors to identify content opportunities from on and off air.
• Help grow audiences, engagement and viewership across Morning TV’s social channels.
• Monitor trends, audience behaviour and platform performance to inform content decisions.
• Contribute ideas for new formats, series and storytelling approaches.
• Support coverage of major news events and breaking stories.

A day in the life…

As a Social Media Producer, you'll work at the intersection of journalism, social media and digital content, transforming the day's biggest news stories into engaging content for audiences across social and video platforms. Working alongside producers, hosts and editors, you'll help bring Morning TV to audiences wherever they are, not just on television.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone early in their career who wants to combine a passion for news with a deep understanding of digital platforms and audience behaviour.

More specifically, you will

• Create and publish engaging Morning TV content across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube and other social platforms.

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced newsroom environment and respond quickly to breaking news.
