Meta Ads Manager

Job description

If you're the person who watches a 45‑second video and immediately thinks “the first three seconds need to change”, this is probably for you.

We're recruiting a Social Media & Content Manager to work directly with a highly experienced finance professional who is building a much bigger personal brand across Instagram, LinkedIn and other social platforms.

This isn't a role where you'll inherit a six-month content calendar, resize a few Canva tiles and schedule posts.

You'll be helping decide what we should talk about in the first place.

Property. Interest rates. Lending. Banking. Economic policy. The Australian economy. What's happening in the news — and, importantly, what it actually means for everyday people.

Then you'll turn those ideas into content people actually want to watch.

What you'll be doing:

Your biggest focus will be short-form video and social content.

You'll work directly with the person behind the brand to:

  • Research timely topics across finance, property, banking and the broader economy
  • Develop hooks, angles and content ideas that make complicated subjects interesting
  • Plan and film short-form video content
  • Edit videos into sharp, engaging social content
  • Manage and grow the Instagram presence
  • Publish and repurpose content across relevant platforms
  • Manage comments, engagement and day-to-day social activity
  • Support Meta advertising and paid social campaigns
  • Track what's working and continually improve reach, engagement and follower growth
Ideally, you'll bring:
  • Hands‑on experience creating short‑form social video
  • A genuinely good eye for hooks, pacing and attention
  • Experience managing Instagram and other social channels
  • Strong written English and copywriting ability
  • An understanding of Meta Ads or paid social
  • The confidence to contribute ideas rather than simply wait for a brief
  • Enough commercial curiosity to understand what makes content useful, not just attractive

Experience or genuine interest in finance, economics, property, lending or financial markets would be a major advantage.

If the RBA makes a decision and your instinct is to understand why it matters, we’ll probably get along.

The setup
  • This is a permanent part‑time position, likely around three days / 24 hours per week.
  • There is considerable flexibility around how those hours are structured.
  • Three full days could work.
  • Four shorter days could work.
  • School‑friendly hours could potentially work.
  • We’re much more interested in output than making somebody sit behind a desk simply because the clock says 5pm.
  • That said, this isn’t a fully remote content job.
  • You’ll be working closely with the person you’re creating content around, so you’ll need to spend meaningful time together in Double Bay filming, planning and producing content.
  • All required filming equipment can be provided.
What you’ll get
  • $60,000–$70,000 package for the part‑time role, depending on experience
  • Genuine flexibility around working hours
  • Direct access to an experienced finance professional with plenty to talk about
  • Significant creative input — you’re not just executing someone else’s calendar
  • The opportunity to take ownership of and materially grow a personal brand
  • An environment where good ideas can be tested quickly without six layers of approval
One important thing

Please ensure you have examples of work you've completed

  • Instagram accounts you've managed.
  • Reels you've created.
  • Brands or personal profiles you've helped grow.
  • A polished CV is great.
  • For this role, your work will tell us far more.

Permanent Australian working rights are required.
