Purple House is seeking a Social Enterprise Manager to provide strategic and operational oversight of its social enterprise and community space activities in Alice Springs. You will lead the Bush Balm and Purple Shed teams, oversee budgets, develop business opportunities, and ensure culturally safe, community-informed programs aligned with the organisation’s plan and knowledge holders’ priorities.

Qualifications

• Relevant qualifications in community development, social enterprise, management or related field.
• Demonstrated experience managing programs, social enterprises or comparable activities.
• Proven ability to provide strategic and operational leadership across multiple areas of responsibility.
• Experience developing and monitoring budgets and managing resources responsibly.
• Strong project management and problem solving skills.

Responsabilités

• Provide strategic leadership across Bush Balm and the Purple Shed, aligning with Purple House’s plan.
• Develop and review annual work plans and development opportunities with coordinators.
• Support sustainable business models balancing financial viability with social outcomes.
• Ensure engagement with knowledge holders and ICIP protocols for Bush Balm.
• Monitor risks and provide recommendations to senior leadership.
• Contribute to planning, reporting and evaluation of social enterprise.
• Line manage and mentor Bush Balm and Purple Shed Coordinators.
• Develop and monitor budgets for the Social Enterprise Hub in collaboration with Finance.
• Ensure compliance with legislation and organisational policies.
