Job summary

ZURU Edge Beauty is seeking a Social Media Manager to lead day-to-day content for our beauty brands in Sydney. You will own calendars, craft content from concept to post, and work with cross-functional teams to keep brand voices native to each platform.

You'll manage a direct report, spot trends, and measure performance to inform future content. A background in beauty or fragrance and hands-on video editing are highly valued.

• 5+ years in social media and content roles, preferably in beauty or consumer brands.
• Hands-on with TikTok, Instagram and YouTube; understands platform signals.
• Portfolio of short-form content created and edited with mobile tools.

Our Sydney Social & Content team is expanding, and we're hiring A Social Media Manager for our beauty team!

THE ROLE

Social Media Manager. Reporting to the Social & Content Director, you run day-to-day social for a portfolio of beauty brands across TikTok, Instagram, YouTube and emerging platforms and lead one direct report. You own social-first content from the plan to the post: calendars, creation, publishing, community, and performance. You'll work closely with the Social & Content, Brand, Creative and Digital teams to make sure our brands show up in ways that feel relevant, distinctive and native to each platform.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Social & Planning

• Run day-to-day social across TikTok, Instagram, YouTube and emerging platforms, keeping content consistent with each brand's voice, identity, and objectives.
• Build and manage content calendars across multiple brands, bringing together campaigns, product launches, cultural moments, retail priorities, and always-on content.
• Adapt every idea to the platform-you know the same idea shouldn't look the same on TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube.

Content & Culture

• Bring ideas to life from concept to live post-write the brief, film, jump on camera, capture BTS, edit, and publish.
• Keep your finger on the pulse-spot emerging trends, formats, creators, and moments; decide what's right for each brand; and know when to act.
• Build genuine community through comments, DMs, and reactive content. Community is more than a metric.

Performance & Partnership

• Track performance, work out what's working and what isn't, and turn the learnings into better content-sharing what performs with our Paid Specialist.
• Partner with Brand, Creative and Digital teams to bring global campaigns, product launches, and key moments to life on social.
• Lead and develop one direct report, setting priorities and raising the quality of everything your portfolio puts out.

WHAT YOU BRING

Skills & Experience

• 5+ years in social media and content (e.g. Social Media Manager or Senior Social Executive), ideally across brands, agency or a fast-paced consumer environment.
• Hands-on experience running TikTok, Instagram and YouTube channels - you know the formats and signals that make content perform on each.
• Experience managing content calendars across multiple brands or markets. Beauty, haircare or fragrance experience preferred.
• A portfolio of short-form content you've shot, edited and written yourself, using mobile editing tools such as CapCut.
• Strong copywriting, plus experience using platform analytics (native insights, Sprout Social, Dash Hudson or similar) to report on performance and change direction.
